Snow this morning, wind and sunshine this afternoon. Not many kite surfers dared to brave the waves and the cold waters (6,9Âșc). I could only spot 2 of them. Do enlarge the picture by clicking on it, and enjoy the height of that jump, it was impressive to see, well nearly as impressive as on this video.

Storm expected
This is actually only the beginning of the storm that reached the Dutch coastline yesterday. I just wonder what the wind limit is for the kite surfers to stop getting into the water. All dikes were closed overnight, especially the one closing down the access to Rotterdam harbour, as everybody keeps in mind the North sea flood of 1953 that killed 1800 people. One third of the country is below sea level......

Surfing the waves
Did you know The Hague was a hot spot for surfing? O'Neill sponsors Hart Beach in Scheveningen, and whatever the weather, there are always some surf fanatics to get into the frozen Dutch waters! Enlarge the picture by cliking on it and you'll see one surfer in the water, as well as many perished seagulls!!! Another time I'll show you some kiteboarding photo, even more dramatic!
