I wanted to post this sign for a while already, so when I got July month theme I knew exactly what I had to post!!! This dog sign stands in my street, chained to a tree! This is the only one of its kinds I found so far. I praised the person who had the clever idea to design it. My kids love it as well, as every time we walk by (and that is quite often), they feel obliged to explain again and again what it is meant for!!!!!
172 city blogs around the world are participating in this month's theme, and I'm very curious to get to discover other "no" signs!!!!

That's why!
Yesterday a pic of a frog in a park, today the probable explanation : the yearly walk (between February and April) of amphibians after the winter towards the water, their breeding place! Because the asphalt pavement keeps the heat, frogs often stand still on surrounding roads, hence the traffic signs ("Drive Slowly, toad/frog track")!!! If you want to have a look at what it looks like, click here (don't forget the sound!), and if you want more details on the external fertilization of the frogs on this page.

International city
Yes, The Hague is a very international city; lots of shops try to get the most of all the foreigners who live here. This is a sign advertising for an "international hairdresser"! Could anyone guess in which language it is translated?

Stylish road signs
You are here really in the heart of the touristic centre of The Hague: Royal palace, main square (Plein), Mauritshuis, Binnenhof.... I like those black road signs.
