Italian feeling!

There's an Italian side to some streets from the old city centre of The Hague, here the Hooistraat. De street derives its name from the "hooi" or hay that boats were allowed to unload. Many horse stables were located in the area, as well as the military barracks of the House of Orange.

At the end, the yellow building is the Hotel des Indes.

Great picture today Lezard thanks!

I apologise for this "mass comment" but I could do with your help today over at South Shields Daily Photo. Help promote the rights of photographers!

What a neat view! Love the perspective and the architecture. Did you take it in the afternoon? I wonder if those guys had just come out of a bar. ;)

I did make this picture at the beginning of the afternoon, so it can be that the people are coming out of one of the numerous bars in the neighborhood after their favorite sandwich lunch!
