Cut trees

Walking in the rose garden of Westbroek Park... I cant wait for June when 20.000 roses from 300 varieties will be blooming.... Expect some nice flowery posts then! I just also read that an international rose competition is occurring in July with rose growers from all over the world gathering here, hoping to win the coveted "Golden Rose of The Hague" for their roses!

As you can see looking at those trees, there is still a long way to go before the garden gets its full shape. In the background, you can see one of the two WWII bunkers I was looking for last time when I posted this.

In my last visit, April 2006, I saw an amazing explosion of tulips at the Keukenhof. Now that I know about Westbroek Park's roses, I'll make sure my next visit is in late June, though it won't be until next year. But I'm sure I'll enjoy a fascinating preview this year on your blog. :)

Fenix, the Keukenhof is exceptional, I don't think I have ever seen anything else like that, you can only be disappointed with other flower gardens afterwards! Check out for future posts on the Japanese garden in Cingendael that will open its doors at then of April, it is also apparently very special!

Joann, I can't wait indeed for the blossoming of all flowers, there is too much grey at the moment!
