That's why!


Yesterday a pic of a frog in a park, today the probable explanation : the yearly walk (between February and April) of amphibians after the winter towards the water, their breeding place! Because the asphalt pavement keeps the heat, frogs often stand still on surrounding roads, hence the traffic signs ("Drive Slowly, toad/frog track")!!! "Teclado e Mouse" is spot on, this post is indeed a very likeable post!

But I'm not a robot, so I can admit that I've never seen one of these signs before. We've got wombats, wallabies, kangaroos, echidnas, ducks, children and the elderly caution signs, but I think this one tops the lot of them.

(changes from the "beware of kangaroos" signposts I used to see in Australia !)

And yesterday's photo was brilliant. I've never ever been able to take a frog shot.
