Canal view

Even though it cannot be compared with Amsterdam, you can still wander in the Hague along a couple of nice canals. This one is located behind the Smidsplein next to the French and the American embassies.

My wife and I have only visited The Hague once but enjoyed it very much. This scene looks a little familiar. Is this the canal that goes up toward the Escher museum? We also really loved the Mauritshuis Museum. I stood and savored at the famous Vermeer for a long time, with no crowds in the way.

Is there still a restaurant called "The House of Lords" in The Hague? - we had lunch there in 1980! It would be nice to see a photo of it sometime if possible.

This canal is indeed situated behind the Esches museum.
Hyde dp, I cannot trace any restaurant in The Hague called The House of Lords..... I'll keep looking, but that dates back 27 years!!!
