Criss-cross of bikes


When I stepped out of the train today, I couldn't help but take a picture of this tangling of bicycles! I always wondered how bike owners could easily and quickly find their bike! The likely trick: a distinctive plastic bag on the saddle, or red flowers on the handlebar!

That's a real mess of bikes! :) Looks like bike theft is not a problem in The Hague.

Is Fénix correct, or are bikes always getting stolen?

Bikes do get stolen. That's why you usually see a big padlock chain as well as a small keylock on the bike. Never leave your bike unattended, even for 5mns. My neighbor got hers stolen while paying at the butcher... Of course, you can get insured for your bike, for a yearly premium that I think is about 10% of the original price...

I was thinking the same as Fenix about the bike theft.
