50 facts over the Hague

I just found this book compiling 50 historical facts that occurred in the city of the Hague between 1234 and 1981, "50 stories that anyone who lives in the Hague should know". I have not found any English translation for our international residents.

I started to read it and realized how little I knew about my city....Think of your own city. Would you be able to name even 20 historical facts? For sure this book will inspire me to discover more about the Hague and share it with you.

A year ago, my answer to that question would've been definitely no. However, thanks to the urban photo blogging I've been doing in the past 12 months, I could name more than 20 historical facts and that's why I love this kind of blogging so much. :)

Must admit i couldn't tell more than 3 or 4 things about Rotterdam and maybe 1 about Den Haag. Interesting.

Interesting book Lezard. Were there any more available where you bought it, and if so, any chance you could drop me a hint where that was?

Thanks and still enjoying this blog more than any other,

Peter

Fenix, you are right, this way of blogging is great and is also pushing me to discover parts of my city I'd never have been to otherwise.

Ineke, any chance you find a similar book over Rotterdam?

Peter, Thanks for your sweet comment. I left the address on your blog.
