View from the top!

Early morning, desire of fresh air, I decided to climb on top of the Bungy tower of the Scheveningse Pier. That was without reckoning with some hard winds! This 100 ton steel construction that needed 400.000 man hours to be built, 110.000 bricks, and 8.000m2 of asphalt among others, remains for me one of the ugliest buildings of Scheveningen. You do have a nice view on the seaside and the Kurhaus hotel (where the flag is) though...

That's some photo, Lezard. Impressive!

The Scheveningse Pier looks like a huge mechanical mantid. I know, I'm nuts. What else is new?

absolutely agree, it's an ugly thing but you did make a pretty neat photo of it!

Cool, I didn't know you could go up there (without bungy jumping). It does look better from here, because looking at if from anywhere else it's an eyesore ruining the ocean view. Thanks for braving the winds!

Glad it was you and not me. I get dizzy up at these heights. Great photo!

Thanks! I must admit I did not reach the top, but then I was already very cold!!!! R&R, you can get up there without bungy jumping (I swear I'll never do that!), just pass the pancake house and start climbing. I'll definitely go back there on a nice and not windty sunset evening.

Mooie lucht ook, ik ben wel eens in Scheveningen geweest maar ik geloof nog nooit op de pier. Voor jullie is het ook het strand neem ik aan en dat hebben wij natuurlijk ook genoeg.
